About Me

My photo
My name is Robin. This is me. I'm 51 now - 5 years after I started this blog. I am an adoptive mom In an open non monogamous marriage, and enjoy my sex life more than I did at 25! Post menopausal - on bioidentical hormone therapy, Have had 2 plastic surgeries that I feel totally unapologetic about, Have lost 30 pounds and am more fit and healthy than I have ever been. I'm constantly in search of spiritual, health, and personal development. I want to share and learn from other women, I want to have fun, I want to talk about all the things that are embarrassing and that women of a certain age shouldn't talk about - yea right! I want to dress like a rock star, wear crazy makeup and be totally age INAPPROPRIATE. I want to do what it takes to look and feel energetic and young and I'm not ashamed of that. I'll work out, I'll eat right, I'll take supplements and hormones and I'll get plastic surgery, wear makeup and wear a the sexiest most smokin hot lingerie I can find So tune in if you want to see more - check your assumptions of who a 50 year old woman is at the fucking door - because this is not that blog!

Favorites of Feb!

Dogs in clothes always top my list of Favorites! This is Olive, Jenny and Matt's precious little dog. We had an amazing weekend visiting in Madison.

I made a little bear bunting for Morgan's baby shower. It looks much cuter in real life. I need to get some better lighting for picture taking!

I have too many projects as usual! I am decorating a T shirt for
a Merona embellished T competition at work. This is by no means the finished product, but I am thinking cotton crochet flowers, maybe a crochet built in necklace sort of thing, scooping out the neckline and edging it in pearl grey voile, and adding some of my fabulous vintage buttons (even though that kills me, I want every button for myself) We will see if it turns out to be anything cute. It is not really my style, but I hope it will be "Merona" style. I will post a pic when finished next weekend.

Ice daming, is not a
favorite but I guess it is one of the hazards of Texans living in Minnesota. Who knew you were supposed to scrape the snow off the edges of your roof? Good lord! So check out our insane ice sculpture. Even our neighbors commented on it at dinner a couple of weekends ago, their kids were marveling at it's hugeness!

And I cant forget Valentine's Day! I made Brian
this cute little crochet robot, and he gave me this fabulous HUGE ring in my new favorite color in the world - Tuquoise! My hubby knows just what I like!

  1. You did an AMAZING job on your online profile! Are you guys just going to outreach or are you going into the book too? I love the baby bunting. What talent you have! How long did it take you to make something like that? I think you should have a class for waiting parents--think of the bonding! :0) I so look forward to following your journey!!!!!!

  2. Thanks! We are also on the waiting list for the book, but I wanted to have the online tools as well. The little bunting was pretty quick if I don't count the three times I had to start over because it was turning out too big. :-)
